Alexander Wang and Erin Wasson part?
The end of summer usually signals the end of all of those random/odd/awesome/never again relationships you managed to haphazardly strike up back in May with some cute boy you met a free outdoors festival.
However, the fashion industry has taken the whole closing of summer love thing to a completely different level.
The Marchesa Girls (ahem, Georgina) put an end to their partnership; we can all agree that unless there's a need for a glitter revival or someone discovers a day-glo unicorrn, Heatherette is pretty much donezo; and in the current issue of Lucky magazine, Mila Jovovich says it was real while it lasted with her fledging brand, Jovovich-Hawk.
So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that CFDA/Fashion Fund babe Alexander Wang has decided to relieve supermodel BFF Erin Wasson of her styling duties for stylist Alastair McKimm (think: i-D, Russian Vogue).
Unlike the aforementioned break-ups, though, this probably has more to do with Alexander trying to make his brand one to be reckoned with (hello, TriBeCa!) more so than him wanting to get rid of a skinny bitch. Plus, Erin will still be loaning pieces from her new jewelry line, Low Luv, to the designer for his spring '09 show.
Or can we all officially call those metal chains Bliss Lau lite now since, well....
