Paper magazine's April issue is dedicated to 2008's most beautiful people. Actress Joanna Newsome -- adorable, indie, kind of a singer, did some broadway, that's more than you needed to know -- fronts the cover of this pretty people issue.
How the editors came about choosing its lucky 64 this go around was quite simple, really: You just had to be "wickedly dynamic and a super great hang."
While we could be super cynical and rude on a few of their choices this glorious Monday morning, the overwhelming majority of their candidates were spot on, so instead we'll highlight our favorites from their very hip little pack of boys and girls:
1. The "conventional" beauties (Please, note the quotations): the immaculately-dressed James Gang (a vaudeville-style show); Chris Julian and Alonso, owners of Fruition (they have the most amazing vintage Jeremy Scott collection on the planet), and Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girls, bitches).
2. The real models: Sean O'Pry and Selita Ebanks. Do we really need to explain this?
3. The musicians: Sia (we have every song on our iPods) and Lissy Trulie (the Dj who had the cool edit in Elle last month).
4. The most fierce: Candis Cayne. Hands down. She is the voluptuous real-life transsexual who snogs William Baldwin on Dirty Sexy Money every week.
