Interview May 2009 : Emma Watson by Nick Knight

It's uncertain if Emma Watson will attend Yale next fall, but the UK "it" girl has most certainly said 'yes' to M/M over at Interview. The actress graces the May issue of the financially strapped magazine. Surrounded by kisses and lace, Emma's cover was shot by none other than Nick Knight.

Honestly, I like the new look of the magazine. What ever direction the new art directors are taking the tome, one thing is for certain: it's decidedly more youth-oriented (Zac Efron graced the April issue). Or at least it is at the moment. However, that may have more to do with the recession and wanting to sell mags than Mathais and Michael being obsessed with all things Disney (Hello, Glamour!).

Meanwhile, Emma graces Interview because she's promoting her new flick Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is set to roll into American theaters on July 15th. Check out the trailer under the hood. Warning: the clip has very creepy moments, namely when the little brown-haired girl flies into the air a la Linda Blair in The Exorcist.

As of today [Feb. 11], I checked my invoice status with them and was told ‘funds are tight’ and that all the writers will be paid, but ‘not right now.

Interview Magazine Revamps Website

Whatd'ya know? We're back! After several round of delicious turkey and dressing, a temporarily broken cell phone, and a French skit gone awry (don't ask), we have finally returned from our week long hiatus.

We promise to never do that again. OK, we'll try to never inhale the aroma of our lovable aunts horrid perfume so we won't get the headache again that prevents us from blogging. Deal? Ok, cool. So let's talk fashion.

Interview magazine, America's answer to French Vogue, has finally put together a proper online operation.

It "features around 40% original online content, such as behind-the-scenes looks at photo shoots, as well as coverage of film festivals, art fairs and fashion weeks." But wait! Guess what else they have? A freakin' blog! Much like Style.com, the daily newsletter will contain frequent updates about artists, musicians, fashion insiders, socialites, and club kids that you've probably never heard about nor will ever get close enough to so as to surmise if their Vuitton pouchette is real.

Our favorite sections? The videos -- listening to the Proenza Schouler boys talk about fashion never gets old -- and the Nightlife column, which displays all of the swanky and exclusive parties Interview editors attend every night. Oy.

Interview Magazine: A dinner party for fashion's elite

Really, this clip needs no introduction. But just in case you needed a logical reason to sit and watch a group of people eat dinner: Bianca Jagger + Andy Warhol + Keith Haring + Boy George + Rupert Everett...and the list of iconic faces doesn't end there.

Interview Magazine: Sneak Peak Part Deux

Last week, WWD teased us with the cover of Interview magazine's new-and-improved fashion publication. It featured Fabian Baron's signature font blocks and Kate Moss donning thick winged eyeliner and a sequined mask.

The highly-anticipated September issue of Interview with all of the new changes and "selective direction" should hit news stands in all of its glory on the 25th.

In the meantime, the good people over at Fashion Week Daily have uploaded some select pages from the issue for our viewing pleasure. As suspected, the edits are more style conscious, similar to that of the fashion mags in Europe, and the cover itself has received a makeover: it's now shiny and slick, just like Vogue.

Speaking of Anna Wintour, she was snapped in a cool Polaroid feature for the issue, which features snaps of Agyness Deyn, amongst other important fashion names. Keep you friends close and your enemies closer....

"Barack, but if he takes Clinton as his vice president. But I am scared of the dormant Republican machine. And when I saw that look Clinton had, the dressing up and the hair, I could foresee her losing to Obama. She looked like an unhappy lesbian."-- Fabion Baron, On politics. From Hint Mag.

Marc Jacobs does Tranny chic for Interview

Apart from his Facebook make-ups and break-ups with boy toys and the GQ profile from a couple of months ago, we haven't really heard much from Marc Jacobs lately. Or at least nothing as interesting as the events surrounding his Fall '08 collections.

So, I'm excited and eager to read the profile of everybody's favorite designer in the June/July issue of Interview magazine, which depicts Jacobs as Andy Warhol on the cover and in the accompanying editorial.

Bryan Boy has obtained a sneak peak of the spread. And I have to say, the man looks more Boy George than Andy Warhol. Nonetheless, the styling, makeup, exposed Sponge Bob tattoo, and platform shoes are all things of fierce Tranny dreams.

In other news, tees ($38 ) and totes ($15) with Marc's Interview cover on them will be sold at his Bleeker Street store, which will benefit the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
