Missbehave March 2009: Katy Perry
By Tiffany Neal · March 9, 2009 · 0 Comments · 248 Views

As was mentioned back in January, after the March issue of Missbehave magazine makes its way onto news stands, founder Samantha Moeller will cease its print publication and publish online-only. Tabitha at Mobliving has the first image of what will be the very last print issue of the lifestyle mag. It features Katy Perry, sporting her new haircut and designs by pal Jeremy Scott. Meanwhile, Missbehavemag.com is in the process of receiving a major makeover which should debt sometime this month.

Missbehave Magazine Folds

Much like big brother Mass Appeal, Missbehave magazine has folded, well, sort of.
The Brooklyn-based lifestyle glossy will cease its print publication and publish online-only after its March issue, which will feature the very lovely Katy Perry and maybe an appearance by Jeremy Scott and a adorable chimp named Susie.
It should be said that the move from paper to new media has less to do with the economy and more so with the fact that most people consume fashions news and gossip online anyways. In fact, Missbehave reportedly boasts a circulation of 100,000.
Indeed, "Missbehave’s founder, Samantha Moeller, said the decision to stop publishing a print edition was a response to its young readers’ preference for the online platform."
In addition to the new site (expect a completely new veneer come March), Missbehave will publish a proper next level newsletter once a wee. Meanwhile, those looking to score Missbehave's last hard issue should look no further than your local Barnes & Noble. [Media Week]

Katy Perry Covers Missbehave Magazine, Plays With Jeremy Scott

Who you calling a CHIMP? from Katy Perry on Vimeo.
I love Missbehave magazine. Really, it's amazing. The cover lines, snarky writing, and giveaways makes the style tome a must read. And it warms my heart, that while every other women's magazine seems to be closing shop, Missbehave still manages to stay afloat. That said, the mag has undergone some major over the past couple months. Most notably cleaning up its once popular day-glo covers, and opting instead for star cover girls rather than loud graphics.
Indeed, Chloe Sevigny fronting the last issue was Missbehave's official move towards a more "proper" women's publication. So, how does one follow an indie actress? Well, you put Katy Perry on the cover and ask friend/designer Jeremy Scott to shoot and style her spread!
The pop singer taped some of her spring photo shoot, which was shot sometime last month, for her fans over at Vimeo. In the video, you can see Perry's new haircut, Jeremy Scott, and a chimp named Susie.
