We're not sure if it's because Beyonce refuses to be showed up by her rival Rihanna and her daring fashion choices or because B was just tired of walking around with creations by mama Knowles, but the talented singer is determined to make her presence known in the fashion industry.
This year alone, she has worn Gareth Pugh at red carpet events, asked Thierry Mugler to design her I Am...Sasha Fierce tour outfits, fronted the cover of V, posed for the April issue of Vogue, and manged to sneak in a retro-feeling Tom Munro lensed spread in the current issue of Italian Vogue. Phew.
Did we mention Katie Grand gave the diva a shout out in the first issue of Love? Indeed, the singer is on fire and one can only imagine what else she has in store for the remaining months this year. Check out B's glamorous IV spread in our gallery.

With a freshly shorn coiffe and bleached eyebrows, Supreme's Iris Strubegger -- with the help of Mert and Marcus -- recreates Steven Meisel's very Coco 1992 Italian Vogue cover with McMenamy for the March '09 issue of French Vogue. via Models.
After Steven Meisel worked with Eva Mendez on that oh-so scandalous Calvin Klein fragrance campaign, she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue not too long afterwards. And after she was snapped alongside Daisy Lowe in the Pringle of Scotland ad campaign by La Meisel, the two find themselves in a similar position as Eva.
While 18-year-old Pixie landed the cover of the March issue of Italian Vogue, both her and Daisy are featured in the accomanying 14-page edit inside.
Meanwhile, Portia Freeman -- the girl who was rumored to have hook-up with Pete Doherty while he was still dating Kate Moss -- is supposedly in Meisel's good graces as well. [Telegraph]
