Hopefully, you're awake by now. Syke, you are totally still messed up! That's OK. Even the hungover or slightly inebriated man or woman can appreciate a little Stephen Sprouse, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Day-glo alongside their bagels and coffee this morning.
Just in case you've been living under rock (willing or because of a sudden eviction notice), Marc Jacobs will once again tap into the legacy of Stephen Sprouse and use the late graffiti writer's famous block letters on a series of accessory, handbag and apparel items for the Parisian label, Louis Vuitton. The pieces, which will most likely sell-out instantly, make their grand debut in LV stores on January '09.
In honor of the collaboration, Marc and co. have launched welovesprouse.com, which will feature a mix of interviews with people who knew Sprouse, including Debbie Harry, Candy Pratts Price and Patricia Field. There will also be a feature called Scrawl the Wall, where visitors can post comments, and a special section on Sprouse’s New York, highlighting some of the artist’s favorite haunts in the city.
Style.com has gotten their hands onto a sneak peak of the LV Stephen Sprouse media rollout. Unfortunately, we can't (aren't allowed) to embed the video onto our site. Still, it must be watched! The clip features an interview by Marc Jacobs amongst other really cool things. Proceed, here.
