In it's own weird and bizarre way, last night's season finale of America's Next Top Model was quite epic for the following reasons:
1.) Right on the heels of model Ali Michael's testimony on struggling with a eating disorders, a pleasantly plump and beautiful Whitney wins ANTM cycle ten title.
2.) After having Wal-Mart and Apple Bottom push their products on the contestants, the Donatella Versace's one-night sponsorship was nice. Plus, the final runway production was couldn't have been more gaudy or over-the-top, which is the essence of Versace's brand.
3.) With Whitney's pageant charm, next season's "This is my life" commercial spots are going to be those of legend. I'm talking CK, but on a low budget.
4.) And the shocker: Whitney could actually -- (gasp) -- have a career in full figured modeling or on television. She has the height, a great body, the face and Elite management behind her.
Meanwhile, after the jump, I posted a video of the other Tyra Banks production everyone is talking about. And if you can watch without laughing out loud, you might win a prize.

I stopped watching this season of ANTM, but I'm slightly glad a "plus-sized" model won. I think Top Model has become more of a social statement about fashion than an actual modeling competition. Tyra is just trying to get the point across that we need more non-white models and that plus-size can be beautiful.
p.s. I totally lost that don't laugh game, and then I proceeded to watch it over and over again, just to make sure I was supposed to be laughing hysterically.
