It's about that time of year again, which means I'm officially sick of all this cold-weather.
The cute winter peacoat is starting to feel played, my opaque tights have ran their course, I'm THIS close to catching a cold, and if freezing rain lands on my new boots one more time I'm going to scream. No, seriously. I just want one day to bust out in a pair of shorts and Chloe wedges.
In the meantime, I'll just live vicariously through MOB's spring lookbook.
First of all, I appreciate how Leah only used her actual pieces of clothing when styling this campaign. However, the pantyhose Uffie is wearing over her leopard panties will not be available for purchase. Thank.God.
Speaking of Uffie, if you have never heard of her she is an American by way of Miami currently living in Paris and taking over the night scene with her fellow Ed Banger label mates.
Now let's talk about the clothes. MOB introduces their first denim piece, which is a pair of jeans with the brands acronym on the back pockets. Also, the lips are still making appearances on all tops and tees. In particular, on the "boot camp" jacket that features a four-leaf clover on the sleeve - a nod to Leah's Irish heritage - and a pink pair of lips on a front pocket.
Fafi, last seasons cover girl, has teamed up again with MOB to make a special limited edition tee that features one of the graffiti artist's Fafinettes complete with a Birkin Hermes bag, Chanel pumps and a lip tattoo on
her thigh.
Overall, I would say Leah has managed to keep her customer happy at least for one more season, but this isn't inspiring to me at all. It's the same loud color combinations with lips sprinkled randomly throughout the collection. Not bad, but just really boring. The only thing original and unexpected about it all was the model who was chosen to front the campaign.
PS:Mark "Cobrasnake" Hunter shot everything and the tee with Leah's mugshot on it and the Fafi x MOB collaboration item is well worth the forty dollars. The end.
