British accessories designer Anya Hindmarch has come along way since she debuted her 'I'm Not Plastic Bag' to huge rabid crowds in NY a couple of summers ago. Proof? The Queen of England wants to give her a award for being cool. FWD reports:

"(NEW YORK) British designer Anya Hindmarch, best known for her chicster-friendly handbags and shoes, has found favor with royalty--she has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen's New Year's Honours list in recognition of her contribution to the British fashion industry."

Hopefully, Anya won't present the queen with one of her famous photograph handbags with her highness' face on it because, well, that would just be awkward.
